We are actually “giddy” to have these two artists provide the artwork for our June “First Friday.” They are long-time gallery “favorites” whose work pairs so well together. Dyann is an accomplished porcelain artist now living in Asheville, North Carolina, while Nick is a talented artist and printmaker who lives in the Driftless region of Wisconsin.
They both work in rich, yet, mellow tones. They both use carving to successfully achieve texture and imagery on their surfaces. And, they both share a love of nature that definitely influences their work. The results of their meticulous efforts are thoughtful, inspiring pieces that enrich the environments in which they settle.
In addition, we will have copies of “Wake Up, Island,” a book written by Mary Casanova and illustrated by Nick. Many of the woodcuts available in the show are a result of the woodcuts created as the illustrations.
We hope you can join us for this special event to enjoy the art, the artists, the food, the refreshments and special music performed by Dyann’s husband Bill Oldfather.

Visit adjacent studios
The Christensen/Reiling Clay Studio and HeartFelt Silks, fiber arts studio, are located in the same building as the gallery. The artists in both of these fully-functioning studios welcome visitors and enjoy sharing their craft with our guests. These opportunities definitely add to the overall "art experience" when visiting SEASONS on St. Croix Gallery.
