Nick and Kirk are two special ceramic artists represented by the gallery. Both of the artists work with porcelain and have achieved excellence in their work through their mastery of technique, their amazing ability to throw and their strong aesthetic sensibilities.
Kirk uses more traditionally forms and finishes, while Nick experiments with his forms and finishes. They both, however, approach their work with innovation, curiosity, a fluidity that helps them each create their own identifiable work.
Come to meet the artists, explore their work, enjoy refreshments, nibbles and music!
Please note: Kirk and nick will both be part of the artOPENer Studio Tour – April 29, 30 and May 1. On the kick-off Friday, April 29th, come for a “Demonstration and Conversation” opportunity where they will share even more about their work. They will also be joined by Joe Christensen and Robbin Firth as featured artists throughout the weekend.
The annual artOPENer Studio Tour held each spring provides an outstanding opportunity to visit an eclectic mix of diverse artists’ studios nestled in the scenic St. Croix Valley. Featuring fine art and contemporary craft, this unique tour includes studios extending from Stillwater, Minnesota, to Hudson and River Falls, Wisconsin. Visitors of all ages are invited to meet and share conversations with artists working in a variety of mediums including glass, jewelry, painting, fibre, photography, pottery and sculpture. The artOPENer Studio Tour features artwork for sale as well as fiber and clay demonstrations throughout the weekend.

The Christensen/Reiling Clay Studio and HeartFelt Silks, fiber arts studio, are located in the same building as the gallery. The artists in both of these fully-functioning studios welcome visitors and enjoy sharing their craft with our guests.
