A MULTI-SENSORY EXPERIENCE
Featuring Kelly Jean Ohl and Dan Wiemer. Both of these regional artists encourage us to experience their art through our senses. Kelly Jean Ohl (ceramic artist/Lanesboro, MN) invites us to see, touch, listen and explore her highly textured abstract objects. Kelly Jean likens her work to good food – multi-sensory. Dan Wiemer (painter/Red Wing, MN) also wants us to look beyond the imagery of his work. He wants us to place ourselves in his paintings where we might feel the breeze, smell the air, hear the water or enjoy the peacefulness or serenity of a place. He draws the viewer in through colors, shapes and textures.
Come, meet the artists, enjoy the conversation, refreshments, food and music. As always, it has the potential to be a very artful evening. This show will remain up until April 29, 2010.
The Christensen/Reiling Clay Studio and the Maras Glass Studio are located in the same building as the gallery. The artists in both of these fully-functioning studios welcome visitors and enjoy sharing their craft with our guests. In addition, the Casanova Glass Studio is located across the street and enjoys interaction with guests as well. These opportunities definitely add to the overall "art experience" when visiting SEASONS on St. Croix Gallery.
