Seasons on St. Croix Gallery invites you to our FIRST FRIDAY CELEBRATION

Featuring Marion Angelica & Ruth Mordy FriedlanderJude Ryan Reiling & Susan McLean-Keeney Melody Tudisco & Camille KnutsonNanci Yermakoff & Gwen Partin.

Four artists, represented by the gallery, have each invited one of their female artist friends to celebrate the relationships that exist amongst artist “girlfriends.” These relationships are extremely important to the growth of an artist … as a source of encouragement, support, constructive feedback, inspiration and direction!

As a result of these relationships, and other in uences in an artist’s life, great art emerges. the artwork in this show reflects this and needs to be celebrated. The show is diverse, as it includes paintings, sculpture, jewelry, fibre, layered metalwork … all created by eight artists who are thankful for the “girlfriends” in their lives.

Join us for a wonderful evening to celebrate the artists and their work, recognize the “girlfriends” in our own lives, and enjoy some nibbles, refreshments and music.

The show will remain up through Sunday, February 29, 2016.

Featuring Carolyn Milbrath & Katia Olivova.

There are outstanding jewelers right in Hudson … and, apparently, in the state of Alaska! Carolyn is a Hudson resident who works with Precious Metal Clay fine silver and semi-precious stones to create lovely, casual, wearable jewelry. Her work is inspired by nature and pattern.

Katia, now living in Alaska, is joining us for the Trunk Show with her ever popular jewelry that also reflects her love of nature and pattern. In the temperate rainforest of Southeast Alaska, Katia is finding inspiration in the moss, berries and mushrooms that cover the mountains and meet the sea.

Come and meet the artists, enjoy the music, nibble some treats and purchase some fabulous jewelry for gifts … or for yourself!

The trunk show will continue on Saturday from 10am – 3pm if you aren’t able to make the party on Friday.

Seasons on St. Croix Gallery invites you to our FIRST FRIDAY CELEBRATION

SEASONS is 15 years old! During those 15 years, we have had the honor of representing approximately three hundred artists. These are special creative people who have been willing to share their inspired, original, and wonderful work with the gallery and our guests.

For our 15th anniversary, the gallery selected 15 artists who, in our eyes, represent the creative spirit of all the artists who have shared in the life of SEASONS and who have been willing to walk the “artist’s walk.” It is with gratitude and admiration that we thank each artist who has participated over the years.

It is also with gratitude that we thank our many patrons who have supported both the artists and the gallery. We have definitely appreciated your love of contemporary craft and fine art … and, your choice to live an artful life!

Come and celebrate with us as we honor artists and their work, as well as show our appreciation for the art lovers we have come to know. Join the gallery staff for food, music, refreshments and, of course, great art.

The show will remain up through November 1, 2015.

Seasons on St. Croix Gallery invites you to our FIRST FRIDAY CELEBRATION

Featuring Patrick Casanova and Kate Gomez.

Kate’s new paintings put a modern twist on that which is old. It is the juxtaposition of the past layered into contemporary paintings that give Kate’s new body of work its depth. according to Kate, “the work celebrates the feeling of nostalgia without being stuck in the past.” Her work is fresh, modern and bursting with life.

Patrick’s work has always been driven by his fascination with color, light and the natural world around him. What lies beneath his work are the agate stones of the St. Croix river to the Colorado mountains, the desert southwest and most recently Yellowstone National Park. Each landscape has its own beauty and history interpreted by Patrick in to vessels, lighting and handmade shades.

Come and explore “what lies beneath” through the artistic expressions of Kate and Patrick. Enjoy an evening of fine art and contemporary craft, served up with nibbles, refreshments, music and fun.

The show will remain up through September 28th.

Featuring Kirk Freeman (potter) and Dan Wiemer (painter)

Our featured artists for the artOPENer weekend and the month of May make a big impression! Both Kirk and Dan create work that is inspired by artists from the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s … but use their own contemporary twist and techniques. Kirk’s simple pottery shapes provide open spaces over which the glazes flow. The hard wood ash is an ingredient of primary importance in his work that definitely adds movement. Dan’s work reflects the energy and directness of the natural world he loves. He is a landscape artist who creates in water- media … taking great joy in pushing and manipulating his medium. The results are stunning.

Take time to come and meet these two delightful artists, as well as enjoy the kick-off to the artOPENer weekend complete with nibbles, refreshments, music and, of course, artful conversation.

See for more information regarding the St. Croix Valley studio tour. Robbin Firth and Jude Ryan Reiling will be featured in their studios, adjacent to the gallery, throughout the tour weekend.

This is definitely a show that reflects the “freshness” of spring. There is no doubt that the color, the texture, the depth of interest draws the admirer in to this season of anticipation and visual stimulation.

The contemporary nature of both Thomas and Melody’s work creates a wonderful combination of stunning artwork. Thomas continues to explore form and color with his crisp, well-defined pieces. Melody echoes the color while using texture to elaborate on thoughts and interpretations of her world.

Come and celebrate the season by enjoying the artwork, meeting the artists, sampling some tidbits, enjoying some refreshments and tapping your toes to some tunes.

The show will remain up until April 27, 2015.
