Hints of Autumn – Fibre & Contemporary Abstraction

October “First Friday” – Friday, October 7, 5 – 9pm
Seasons on St. Croix Gallery invites you to our FIRST FRIDAY CELEBRATION

Featuring Robbin Firth (fibre artist) and Kimberly Erickson (painter).

As mid-westerners, we love the rich hues of autumn that surround us in the fall. We enjoy the crisp days, the brilliance of the sun making the colors shimmer, and the textures of the changing landscape. Both Robbin and Kimberly bring these elements to their works of art and give us that lovely hint of autumn.

Kimberly describes her style as “natural modern.” She captures her natural environment in a very contemporary form by creating abstract images on metal with ink. the look is sophisticated, saturated with rich color and bold.

Robbin incorporates beautiful wools, silks, cottons, and linens as she creates fabulous, well-designed, wearable art and home décor. her capacity to dye, felt and print fibre is exceptional. Robbin is also influenced by her natural surroundings and draws on the color palettes and the textures that surround her.

The evening will include conversations with the artists, a fashion show, nibbles and sips, and live music. The show will remain up until October 31st.
