Recently, SEASONS on St. Croix Gallery grew up! Our first eight years we were located in a quirky space – a 1940’s car dealership in historic downtown Hudson. They were good years that allowed us to create our identity and develop relationships with artists and customers. In the summer of 2008, we were fortunate enough to make a big move (across the street) to a newly renovated space – a 1940’s creamery. The new space offers more than twice the square footage, interesting ceramic block walls, glass block embellishments, quarry tile floors and colorful walls that showcase our offerings of contemporary craft and fine art. Our main focus is to develop an inviting venue for local, regional and national artists.
We believe a visit to the gallery is a wonderful art experience. We are proud to represent approximately 160 artists and offer an eclectic mix of work ranging from clay, glass, jewelry, sculpture, metal, mixed media, fiber, wood as well as two-dimensional work in water color, pastels, oil, acrylic, photography. Our guests also have the opportunity to visit two studios that are adjacent to the gallery space – Christensen/Reiling Clay Studio with artists Joe Christensen and Jude Ryan Reiling and Maras Glass Studio home to Thomas and Rebecca Maras. These studios, in addition to Casanova Glass Studio, home to artist Patrick Casanova and located in our former building are all open to the public when the artists are working.
As the owner, I am fascinated by the creative process and the artists we represent. I admire the committed, imaginative, original, skillful and determined efforts of individual artists. They have inspired me and my wonderful staff to create a colorful, dynamic, artful and intentional space in which to bring the admirer and the artist together. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Stop by for a visit…we would love to share this artful experience with you!
